Alan Jacobs – Vice President

I have been a member of UUCL since 1994, with a few years off around the turn of the century to attend
the Unitarian Church of Harrisburg. I am in my final year of a six-year stint on the Board, a member of
the operations team and involved as an occasional volunteer in the IT team.
I have four adult children, and one grandchild. Two of my children attended the COOP Nursery School
and all four attended OWl, which are fantastic programs of the church.
My vocation is as a salesperson at Yarnell Security. In my free time I enjoy traveling and cooking with my
girlfriend, Lisa, tending my houseplants and outdoor native garden, fiddling with computers, and
jogging.
As a child of Missionary parents in Africa, I feel like a citizen of the world. UUCL grounds me as it focuses
us on the work we need to do, both locally and globally.
