February—of course, our theme is LOVE. As our covenant says, “Love is the spirit of this church.” And the second part of that is “service is our gift”. Seems to me a meaningful foundation for our spiritual community. I love coming to church on Sunday where love is nourished, inspired, and hopefully grows from week to week.

One of the visiting congregants, in fact, Lenore’s father, responded to the question, “what does it mean to you to be a Unitarian Universalist?” He replied, “It is where “I” becomes, “we”. That sounds like our spiritual community. That’s a big part of why I am here. I love the people who make up our church, and our mission keeps us focused and growing.

And, as a psychologist, I want to remind you all to practice radical self-love.
