Sunday Worship Service: When Choosing Community Gets Messy

March 5, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Hybrid Hybrid Event
Every Sunday, join Sunday Worship Service at 10AM (9:45 gathering), currently offered in person and on Zoom/Youtube Live.
Guest Speaker: Rev. Sunshine Jeremiah Wolfe
(a short Coffee Hour will be provided following the service)
Perhaps there is nothing more prophetic from our faith than the notion that we do not need to agree, think alike, or even love alike to choose to be in community together. The world has long been a place where some find security in sameness- in the certainty of fundamental thinking. Our times are no different and they are difficult because of access to technology, objects, and even social media that can cause direct harm to ourselves and our communities. How do we keep shouting our prophetic and sacred ‘yes’ to the world when doing so can be dangerous? We will talk about how communities deal with this and what questions help us to stay grounded and present in these difficult times. Our guest speaker, the Rev. Sunshine Jeremiah Wolfe, Congregational Life Staff from the UUA Central East Region will be facilitating our congregational conversation regarding safety and security issues following the service.
