Community Sunday: Potluck Brunch and Justice Work

Join us for Community Sunday on August 21st at 10am at Buchanan Park. We will have a potluck brunch & loosely organized justice work.
Come share a potluck brunch and connections to justice work in Buchanan Park, hosted by Marianne Smith and other members of UUCL’s justice committees. We’ll have invitations to chat about the commitments we care about deeply, an outdoor game for kids and adults alike, and potluck food! Please bring some food to share with about 6-8 others. If you can, please also bring your own utensils and mug.
If you want to find out what other people are doing around justice issues, come! If you want to get to know others in the UUCL community over brunch, come!
Inclement weather plan: The event will be cancelled if weather makes gathering unsafe. We will announce any cancellations on our Facebook, Instagram, and this webpage by 9AM on the day of gathering.
Parking & Accessibility: Street parking is available on the streets surrounding Buchanan Park. The pavilion is located between the dog park, pool, and basketball courts, indicated on the map below. To plan your visit, you can use Google Maps (street view near pavilion / satellite view from the Buchanan Park address, 901 Buchanan Ave, Lancaster). Bathrooms will be made available as part of our pavilion rental.
On Community Connections Sundays – 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays this summer – we gather in groups small or large for out-of-the-box connections.
