Apple Picking to Celebrate Fall – Canceled

The meet-up at Cherry Hill Orchards to go apple picking on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 A.M. is cancelled due to scheduling related conflicts for those who RSVP’d.

On Sunday, September 29th, we still invite you to Sunday School in the nursery when it’s announced to go back there during the service. Youth of all ages and adults will work together to prepare apples and honey for snack and to perhaps share with the congregation. This is a way to celebrate the fall season and Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. For Rosh Hashanah, it is tradition to ring in a sweet new year with apples and honey. We will read a book about Rosh Hashanah, as well as do our typical UU rituals like lighting our chalice and sharing of stones. This is a great opportunity to see what our religious education program is all about! Old and new friends to our RE program are welcome.
