Apple Picking to Celebrate Fall

September 28 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

The Jewish Exploration Group at UUCL is hosting a meet-up at Cherry Hill Orchards to go apple picking on Saturday, September 28th at 11:00 A.M. Please save the date. This all ages event is a way to celebrate the fall season and Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year. For Rosh Hashanah, it is tradition to ring in a sweet new year with apples and honey. Before apple picking, a picture book will be read about Rosh Hashanah.
This event is free and open to all, but we welcome donations of $5 to chip in towards the group’s apple box purchase. For planning purposes, please RSVP below by Friday, September 20th. (Drop-ins are also welcome, but RSVPs will help us contact you in case of inclement weather. Also an email outlining the meet-up will go out to all signed up participants prior to the trip.)
Then, on Sunday, September 29th, we invite you to come share apples and honey after the service. Older youth and adults will work together to prepare the feast as a hands-on activity during the service.
Thanks for RSVPing for apple picking and we look forward to seeing you at these events!
