Flipping the Script: Family Worship for All Ages

This Sunday, you are invited to come experience the rhythms and rituals of family worship (often called children’s worship), on Zoom. This summer, children and adults in faith development have been exploring the theme of Play. That’s because we all need play in our lives… adults sometimes even more than children, although children are often the experts. Even in weeks like this, when great suffering is happening in so many places, people can still draw strength from playing music, moving our bodies, creating, connecting through humor, or sharing the deep stories of a culture. We’ll explore some ways to invite play into our lives together. 

For those who have not joined family worship before, here is what you can expect:

• People of all ages, and families of all shapes and sizes from one person to many, are invited to participate. Family means everyone, and UUCL is family too! 
• We usually do children’s worship in a circle, where everyone has a voice. Come to our virtual circle prepared to participate!
• Tend to your space. Find something comfy like a quilt to sit on. Bring a chalice or candle, and a stone or two. Wear PJs if you want to! 
• If you can, bring a photograph (or mental image) of yourself, playing. (You define what that means!)

Join us Sunday August 22nd at 10am for this Sunday Worship Service. This will be held on Zoom and open to all.
