Sunday Worship Service with the River Crossing Playback Theatre troupe

Every Sunday, join Sunday Worship Service at 10AM (9:45 gathering), currently offered in person and on Zoom and Facebook. Children & family faith development is before worship at 9:15AM in person (info).

We each carry stories within us. When we take time to share them with one another, we weave a beautifully imperfect tapestry of truths…and that weaving helps draw us closer to each other, and to what it means to be human. On Sunday, June 5, join the River Crossing Playback Theatre troupe and UUCL’s worship team in an interactive service of memory, artistry, and community. Together, we will be invited to notice the stories we each carry, and to share and witness a few of those stories, “played back” by artists through artistic nuance.

River Crossing Playback Theatre has a decade of experience using improvisational movement, music, and ritual to help communities share and witness their stories. This is the troupe’s fourth time returning to UUCL. Lenore Bajare-Dukes, Director of Lifespan Faith Development, joins other troupe members from the Susquehanna river basin to honor these stories.

You can expect familiar UU service elements, as well as a chance for several people to choose to share their memories, and for all of us to watch as these are brought to life. Children and youth are warmly welcomed to join with their families. Come to listen, to connect…and perhaps even to share.
