“Resilient Women: In It for the Long Hall” Sunday, February 23 10:00AM
On this last Sunday in February, to acknowledge the birthday month of Unitarian and Quaker Susan B. Anthony, let’s also forecast Women’s History month in March. Anthony and hundreds of other women activists embodied one of the greatest stories of resilience in the history of American social justice, as they persisted for nearly seventy-five years in the fight for women’s suffrage, the centennial of which we celebrate in 2020. Anthony and many others were committed to the long haul, able to bounce back in the face of setback after setback. Let us be inspired by these uppity women and men who came before us to keep hold of dreams, no matter how challenging the struggle.
