Acting Director of Lifespan Faith Development

Elizabeth Gawron describes herself as an artist-teacher-mother. She resides in Elizabethtown, PA with her art teacher husband, Luke, and two young children, Kazmir and Nyla.

Elizabeth graduated from Kutztown University in 2016 with her B.S. in Art Education and is a PA state certified teacher. After graduation, she was called to share her artistic gifts with local churches. She created a role as an Artist in Residence for a church in Hershey.
The residency led her to become their Director of Faith Formation where she expanded her creative offerings and wrote her own faith formation curriculum. She earned a certificate in Fatih Formation for the 21st Century which equipped her with a new vision of faith formation for our digital age.

While pursuing art in the church, Elizabeth never lost her love for teaching. She found opportunities to teach in Montessori schools where she learned the spiritual nature of child development and education. She has taught in toddler and primary Montessori programs and holds a certificate in the Fundamentals of Montessori In Early Childhood Education. She is starting her own homeschool journey with her children that is inspired by Montessori, Waldorf, and Unschooling concepts.

Elizabeth is looking forward to joining us this summer! She was born into the Christian tradition but over the years her spiritual views have evolved to encompass the variety of spiritual journeys we all take to Unity and Peace. She is excited to gain wisdom, understanding and inspiration from UUCL.
