December 15, 2019: “Awe in the Face of a Child”

I continue to grow in realizing new layers of awe in the story of new birth told in the traditional story of Christmas. The face of new life reminds us of the potential for hope and renewal in this world which can often feel hectic and out of control, especially during midwinter holidays. At this time of year we are reminded of UU educator Sophia Fahs’ words: “Each night a child is born is a holy night.”
