Sunday Worship Service: On Being Awake (Jewish New Year) With Rev. Patricia Guthman-Haresch
September 25, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Hybrid Event
This year Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, begins at sunset on Sep 25 and ends at sunset on September 27. The holiday marks the beginning of a 10-day period known as the “Days of Awe” or “High Holidays” ending with Yom Kippur. This is a time of self-reflection, forgiveness, prayer and introspection. The shofar, typically a ram’s horn, is blown at Rosh Hashanah services to signal the New Year, but is also a sort of spiritual wake up call. Rev. Pat will reflect on being spiritually awake.
Please contact Rev. Pat with any requests for joys, sorrows, complex truths to be named during the service at minister@uuclonline.org.
Every Sunday, join Sunday Worship Service at 10AM (9:45 gathering), currently offered in person and on Zoom.
