Many are familiar with the biblical story about King David who in his youth impossibly and improbably slew the giant warrior Goliath. It was said that David picked up five smooth stones to carry in his pouch before he went to fight Goliath. There are many sermons that imagine what those stones might have represented. James Luther Adams, one of the best known and most influential Unitarian theologians in the last century, offered his own suggestions for those within liberal religious traditions. Rev. Pat will reflect upon what Adams considered foundational in our Unitarian Universalist tradition.
Every Sunday, join Sunday Worship Service at 10AM (9:45 gathering), currently offered in person and on Zoom/Youtube Live.
