In Need of Volunteers: Memorial Service Hospitality Team

The Memorial Service Hospitality sub-team of the Caring Team is seeking volunteers. If you are looking for a way to show your love to our UUCL family and would prefer to not attend the committee meetings, this is a great opportunity for you.

One of the important rituals of of our church community is hosting memorial services. It is an important way that we care for one another. When the Caring Team was launched over the past year, a small group of us formed a sub-team of the Caring Team to reorganize the way that we support one another when there is a death of a loved one.

We are looking for people to help with tasks on the day of memorial services. This is a great way to be of service and feel connected to your church community without the commitment of attending committee meetings. We need people to help the day of the service to serve as greeters, ushers and helpers for the reception following the service. When a memorial service is scheduled, you would receive an email asking if you were able and willing to help with the memorial service. You would not be expected to assist with every service.
