Dear UUC of York and Lancaster,
I am writing to express my gratitude for inviting me into the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lancaster as Director of Lifespan Religious Education for York and Lancaster. I look forward to this opportunity to share my art, ministry and faith formation experience with you while also building relationships between the two churches.
Currently, I live in Elizabethtown, PA with my husband and two young children. My husband teaches art and we homeschool our oldest. We recently began a creative outreach, Elhaus, which offers creative services to help support and connect our local community. We have found as art educators we are equipped to collaborate, create, reflect, envision and inspire.
I have worked with faith and school communities to create community events, write new programming and curriculum, and design spaces intended for learning and creating.
Most recently, I have been working with children and am looking forward to engaging with all ages in faith development and seeking out how everyone can best be supported. My hope as DLRE will be to find inspiration in your communities and support you in exploring your faith as you navigate through life’s transitions.
I am excited to be here to finally be with you and get to meet you!
Creatively Made,
Elizabeth Gawron
