Walters Grant Awards for Cycle 4 of 2021

A total of $35,000 in grants were awarded for the fourth cycle. Four applicants applied for grants.

The awards given were:

  • Homefields, David Strauss, $6000. Homefields is a nonprofit corporation providing homes and working opportunities for adults with an intellectual or developmental disability.
  • Arch Street Center, Susan Lilly. $10,000.00. Arch Street is a drop-in facility for adults living with serious mental illness. The grant will assist in providing high quality food to the center.
  • Parish Resource Center, Kate Good, $10,000.00. The grant will be used to initiate a conversation around diversity and race. The event features the authors of Cousins: Connected Through Slavery, a Black Woman and a White Woman discover their past- and each other.
  • Lancaster Language Justice Initiative, Cindi Moses, $9000.00. This Grant will collaborate to increase awareness of language justice and build capacity within nonprofit and business sectors to effectively assist people with diverse language needs.
