To our church community & those present for Joy to the Polls, We are reaching out to let you know that we have been made aware that there was at least one person who attended UUCL’s outdoor “Joy to the Polls” action on Tuesday who has subsequently received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19. We are informing you because it is important to share information about potential exposures. Almost everyone present was exclusively outdoors, wearing masks, and practicing spatial distancing for this faithful and celebratory witness to the democratic process. Still, this is a reminder that COVID-19 is still circulating in our community, and we hope we can all continue to take as much care as we can. We feel that it is our responsibility to pass this information along to all of you so that you can make the best decisions for your health and safety. We hold all those who are sick and suffering in many ways in our hearts right now. We also use this as a reminder that the UUCL community is here to support each other. If anyone in our community is experiencing illness and is in need of support, such as help with groceries, et, please reach out to Rev. Israel. We are here to help.
