Children’s Faith Development
• Spirit Play in worship this Sunday! This Sunday’s multigenerational worship service online will include an experience of Spirit Play. Join us – videos on or off! – at 10AM!

• Child Dedication: Rev. Israel and Lenore are planning to offer a Ceremony of Child Dedication during online worship this month for any families of children (of any age) who wish to participate. Learn more about this important UU ritual, and contact Lenore by Tuesday if you are interested.

• UUtopia on Minecraft continues! If you haven’t signed up yet for “UUtopia,” a Minecraft collaboration between a few neighboring UU churches this winter for grades 1-5 and middle and high school youth, please go here to register! We meet every other week, Sundays at 3PM.

Here are some things you can expect, with more to be added as the month goes on!

Crafting & Baking Nights
Friday, December 11th, 8-9PM (& more?)

A low-key night of baking and crafting and chatting, all on Zoom. All who love to make things while hanging out, bring something you want to work on!

Dec. 11th will be hosted by Lenore. We hope to have others. Fill out this form if you’d like to take a turn hosting or have another holiday offering!

Songs and Stories of the Season – All Ages!
Friday, December 18th, 6:30-8PM

Gather at the hearth (…and on Zoom…) to listen and sing along to Christmas, Hanukkah, and winter songs. Hear a holiday story or two, and wrap your hands ‘round a mug of hot chocolate! Contact the Music Committee or Lifespan Faith Development if you have a song you’d like to share.

Making the Holidays Meaningful

How do we make the holidays meaningful during a time of pandemic? How do we connect with loved ones and ourselves? We may offer a faith development workshop on detaching from materialism, discerning what matters most to you, and finding ways to honor old traditions…or creating new ones. Please fill out this form to help us know what to plan.

Spirituality: We have a full worship calendar this December honoring multiple spiritual traditions. Stay updated through the LOVEletter!

Do you have a holiday event you would like to share? Send it to Mandee at for our next newsletter!

Winter Solstice Event

The wheel of the year keeps turning and the winter solstice is on the horizon.
It’s time to begin planning to celebrate the solstice on 21 December at 7pm. We’ll have one service this year since we don’t have to worry about occupancy in the virtual sacred space of zoom.

What part of the solstice service is most important to you?
The handchime choir will play and some of the choir will be singing as well..
We are going to re-enact the annual battle between the oak king and the holly king.
There will be dancing and we’re looking for other volunteers for that as well.
We will need people to call the directions, I’d like to have one person for each direction, calling the direction their house is in relation to the church.

If you’re interested in any of these roles or have other suggestions, feel free to email me at gehronrice

Blessings and gratitude for your energy and excitement –
