Mural Installation To Begin October 17th, 2022

The Mural Task Force is pleased to announce that the mural’s installation will begin on Monday, October 17th. Two Dudes Painting Company has been contracted to render Geri McCritty’s art onto the left external wall of the Education Building. The installation work will take a few days (depending on weather) and will involve a lift rather than scaffolding.

At the Sunday service on October 23, Gerri and her mural will be acknowledged. A formal dedication of the mural and outdoor party will come in the spring time (April 16, 2023). The Mural Task Force looks forward to inviting our Chestnut Street community neighbors and representatives from Lancaster City to this UUCL celebration.

The mural installation is a year and half effort of a dedicated group of people who worked together with the artist to bring this splash of color and life to the façade of our education building and to raise our profile in the community. We thank you for your support.
