We celebrate our sheroes and heroic figures. We will gather on Saturday, 31 October 2020 from 7 – 8:30 pm in our sacred space on Zoom. We will present a slideshow of our beloved dead, a link will be forthcoming for sharing these pictures. Feel the Progress! | | Volunteer Opportunty GOTV phone bank for New American Citizens Mon Oct 26, 2020 – Mon Nov 2, 2020 Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition, PICC is the only organization in Pennsylvania authorized to register New Americans to vote at their citizenship ceremonies. Before every election, these new Americans are called to make sure they have the information they need to vote for the first time. Please help to mobilize New Americans to the polls this year by volunteering at one or more of the virtual GOTV phone banks. You can sign up for “GOTV phone bank” by Clicking here link: https://signup.com/go/fFWybzp | | Unpaid Volunteer Opportunities Galore! We are looking for a task force to examine the church phone system and research alternatives. No face-to-face meetings necessary. UUCL pays several thousand per year to own the current system. We are also looking for people interested in researching how to move UUCL to Google’s Gsuite. This research should be extra fun, because it’s so Googly! And if you want to learn more about Google Docs and all that stuff for your own self, why not learn it while doing research for the church? Qualifications required for either task force: The willingness to respond with “yes, I’m willing to attend the first meeting.” Email itgroup to get sucked in to more than you bargained for. | | From our Financial Manager | | It’s hard to believe but we are through the first quarter of our fiscal year! Most of you should have received your pledge statement via email this week. For those who do not have email, they will be mailed. This is a statement of your Financial Commitment pledge progress only. It does not include other contributions you may have made to UUCL. If you have any questions about your statement, please contact Bev Geib in the church office, ext. 206. Thank you for your continued support! | | Please submit all ACE announcements to publications@uuclonline.org by 9 am Tuesday. | | | | | | |
